10:00: Alaska Highway (Stone Mountain Park).

Day 2 of the Alaska Highway. Amazing views and very remote. When they say to top off your tank every chance you get, it’s for good reason. Especially this time of year when everything is closed. I got very lucky with the weather which is making for a pleasant, relaxing drive so far. Saw some wildlife…bighorn sheep & stone sheep on the road

11:45: Muncho Lake

Wow.

12:45: Trout River

This doesn’t even look real.

Had to stop to let a herd of stone sheep finish grazing the road.

16:45: Watson Lake

Finally made it to the Yukon. What a gorgeous drive! The second half of the drive was peppered with small herds of bison. None on the road, but close enough to make it interesting. Finally saw my first bear…a black bear that crossed the road in front of my car.
