11:00: Williams, AZ

I did it! I found the dowside to traveling alone: having breakfast by yourself before coffee. Being half-awake with no one in your face to distract you and a slow day on reddit, you’re left to people-watching. There’s only like 3 other kinds of people in this situation. God help you if any of them are millenials. I should refrain from doing this to myself in the future. Also, reserve touristy-type stuff to Mondays or Tuesdays. Never Saturdays. What was I thinking?

15:15: Grand Canyon

Yep, it’s amazing.

Really a reminder of how beautiful America is. And also how many shitty people it can contain. Seriously, who litters on a high-traffic path with bins every 30 feet? Again, I don’t know what I was thinking…should have waited to do this until Monday.

Still, worth it.

While I was viewing the canyon, I wondered what it would have been like to hav discovered this thing. The surrounding non-canyon bits look flat and continuous with an abrubt drop. Makes me wonder if someone riding a horse too fast might have fallen in.
