15: US-180. ~ 2 miles N of Leopold Vista saw sign for Trail #181 and then signs for a bunch of trails further north. Looks like I won’t have to drive to Silver City for a morning hike.
40: (near) Bosque del Apache. Subaru’s navigation system doesn’t work well in New Mexico (had the same problem at Cibola) and there is no cell reception. (lesson learned: double-check and download maps on GoogleMaps). Made it to Sevilleta, but since it was Sunday, couldn’t get more info. Got to see the backside of the bosque. Thanks Subaru!
00: Bosque del Apache. Made it! Picked up cell service and got the google maps. What’s here?
00: Bosque del Apache. Hiked an easy 2.5 mi canyon trail. Didn’t see any rattlesnakes or other wildlife. But figured out items I need to add to inventory:
30: NM-152. Wow, spectacular! (what I could see, anyway) Must come back and make this drive during the day. And snow in New Mexico!
